Studies on Xylose Cinder Substrate and Fertile Formulae for Tomato Seedling Production

The effects of three different kinds of media，xylose cinder, coal ash and coal cinder which are mixed　up with different levels of urea, KH₂PO₄ and bakeddry chicken manure on tomato seedling growing were studied.　The results showed that the media composed of 60% xylose cinder,30% coal ash and 10% coal cinder added with 5g urea, 5g KH₂PO₄ and 20g chicken manure per 72 holeplate can substitute the vermiculite and peat medium for vegetable seedling production．The fertile formulae can reduce the cost of seedling production.
