    Experimental Research on Mechanism of Saving Water and Increasing Yield of Peanuts Using Irrigation on Plastic Film Cover

    • Under the condition of the thin soil layer and low fertility in sandy soil, the experimental research has been done using irrigation on plastic film cover on peanuts cultivation. A distinct good result on watersaving and yieldincreasing was achieved compared with the normal furrow irrigation. It saves water by 27.3 %, improves water productivity by 76.9 %, improves soil utilization ratio by 16.7%, and increases yield by 34 %~68.5 %. This research also made deep discussion on its mechanism of saving water and increasing yield. 
