    • A series of plate-sinkage tests with load inclination angle of 0°～25° were conducted on Takela-magan desert sand. The results indicated that increase of load inclination causes increase of plate sinkage and a decrease of sand bearing capacity. A new method which evaluates sand inclinating load capacity by using vertical load was proposed.
